I guess I have a few fetishes I'd like to experiment with, but I have -no- idea how to bring it up with the lady. Like, things like rough play or dirty talk seem quite common, but thing beyond that.. How do you even go about it? Haha, I guess I just them saying no (which is fine, of course), but now I'm self conscious for the rest of the normal session

Get into the habit of asking it while your chatting to her at the start. Don't just say I want rough sex do you do it...ect is blunt but if reversed if a girl asked you first up "do you do strap on sex?", you'll know the same thoughts going through her head.
Instead while chatting casually add it in as a bucket list thing to do simple, and think like that. If it gets fulfilled great if not there are plenty of other girls you can ask till you get a yes. If you keep that fantasy at the front of your mind, that rejection will eat you all up.
Yes it's something you really want but with all things in life we never get them all right? So have that mentality of a care free spirit on your Approach, and when you finally get it. Celebrate it in a biggish way to reward yourself getting it done.

You need to have the conversation, ask what do you like in bed, are you into ...... or does that not interest you , what are your thoughts on ....... keep it open ended
