How long will it take for me to recover from a TURP operation?

I have to go have a TURP operation

For the squeamish, look away, for everyone else see Link is not broken so it has been taken down

Interested to know from others that have had this how long I will be out of action?

I'm not sure we're best-placed to answer that.
You should be questioning your doctor. A lot.

Yeah, doc said 4-6 weeks, but was wondering what experience others had

Have you looked at a Urolift instead, seems to have less side effects but only works on 100cc sized prostate maximum.

Good luck with the op mate, I hear that they have improved the process a lot more now.

I suffer from BPH but thankfully has not got to the op stage yet.

It usually takes between 3 and 4 weeks to fully recover from a TURP.
