That explanation makes sense but doesn't reflect very well on the armourer or the actor holding the revolver. The pop of the primer during that previous scene should have been investigated at the time. A shooter with any experience would have known something had happened and should have checked it out.
I once had a suspected misfire on a target range - the bullet clean-missed the target and the sound of the discharge was a bit weak. I lay the rifle down and didn't fire again until I could check it for a possible barrel blockage.
Surely any weapon to be pointed at anyone on set would be checked by at least two different people ahead of the scene.

Bruce Lee certainly had charisma and oomph but baby boy Brandon looked like should have been in 90210.

There's all sorts of conspiracy theories about young Lee's death. One; it was the legacy of his father's strife with the "old" order of martial arts chiefs.
Another; he had proof the moon landing actually happened and had to be 'taken out' by a cadre of conspiracy theorists.

I believe that Brandan is a Martial Artist to some degree but nothing out of the ordinary and certainly not at the level of his father's cultivation. Even his acting was a bit B grade right up until he made the Crow which was outstanding. It's a shame that was his first good film but his last film.
