Some WL's I know closely have said they have put their private rates up due to the fact the numbers are dropping off on average over a month, so they think if they put the price up and get less volume what they earn is the same.. Some Privates I know mentioned they can see the average wage earner is dropping off too due to job uncertainty and other prices in life are going up too. Unlike any other job when a WL doesn't get bookings she doesn't earn any $$$$ unlike say myself I can go to work and not have anything to do for a week or so and still get paid and it only costs me a few $$ to get there, where as a PWL's overheads are high too which added rent increases in sydney/melb and some areas of perth someone has to pay that and its the client, plus weekly advertising, health checks, cleaning of her incall place, clothing, lingerie etc etc hair makeup, gym memberships that has to come from the client, so she can keep earning her wage..
Sad but Australia is a high cost nation if you want lower costs for WL's move to Germany, UK, other EU nations or if you need more $$$ as Joe hockey says, "Get a better paying job" LOL ....

You know what this will lead to? A very small pool of clients for many w/ls. Wont be enough customers for everyone and some w/l will drop off to find other work. The governments own study has said if you want to stimulate growth, give hand outs to the poor who spend it. Rich people hoard it all to themselves. Raising prices only exludes more clientele, yet lowering prices will let more people be able to book those w/ls.
I totally agree, I had the same conversation about the last sentence there with one of my WL friends, and they couldn't see it, this is why they are constantly touring, which costs $$$ before they earn a cent, one said she was busy however I was getting SMS's from her at all times of the day and night, then I said if you are soo busy why can you find the time to text me, I got silence, one lady I know that works in a high class place in Sydney says alot of the time she is doing nothing at work and she is a good looking lady, likewise for a same kind of girl in Melbourne, Friday nights MCG keeps her busy as does Sundays after divorced men drop the kids back at the ex wives place, but other than that its normal traffic, I am not saying the girls at parlors drop the rates the parlors need to drop the room price per hour.... with the way of the economy at the moment there must be a smaller amount of men that can drop the kind of cash these girls want, I feel sorry for the dude that has to save a few weeks to have a punt and the WL knows this, why doesn't she say after a few bookings I can see you for a hour for this lower rate as we both seem to get along win/win but no... This is why the Asians are becoming more and more in this game the business model they use is different..

If by different business model you mean cheaper prices then yeah. But that's really just a result of over supply.
The irony of it is, London is now cheaper than Sydney. Australia is just a high priced nation until that changes we either pay WL's here high rates, or you find a partner..... no easy reply!

I think in an AMP you will find the owner and the girls work on lower margins, and even at that it appears that currently there is not enough volume to keep anyone happy.
The good old days of a few yeas ago when you could earn $200k py on a mine site as a professional or $100k /yr cleaning the toilets are drying up.
Ultimately quality and availability sets the price, poor operators fall away and good operators move back to a more steady income.

I've found prices are going up in most areas but certainly in IT and my area of expertise, wages are going down as employers want more for less so that translates to me seeing w/l's less often than I used to be able to. If I could put my working hourly rate up and work less hours, I'd jump at the opportunity but sadly my employers would just find someone who'd work for less.

I have been searching some W/Ls and I have a bit of a list. I enjoy the GFE so I expect to pay a bit more. Most brothels charge between $210-240 per hour but I don't think this includes GFE. I have found some extremely nice looking ladys that will do GFE and they charge a little bit more, $400 per hour.
But I have found some extremely hot woman that will do GFE but they want $550 per hour. I guess you pay for what you want. But really?? Would anyone pay $550 for just 1 hour.
I reckon when I go for my next punt I will be looking at one of these $400 WLs. I still think that sounds a bit steep as I have never paid more then $250 per hour for a WL. I want to see the difference.

What do you specify in GFE? I have seen the best and worse in all price brackets. And to my experience the mechanical non GFE punts have been the $400+ girls who think they are better than others.

Not to be negative here as different strokes for different folks and we are all different, but when the prices are like what Yoda is saying, the GFE is actually better on the wallet to have the actual physical girlfriend in your life, I know in capitalism you can charge what you think is a good price for your service offering, but I am at a loss how some can hand over the prices some are charging in this industry, some people must make some serious coin or just lucky in life.
In that case the overprices was a lot less frequent with this stuff. But that was just my experience.

I'm American. Yes, yes, I'm an Aussie, too, I passed my test and all that, but I grew up in the states, and just before coming out here I spent 7 months in London. Ideally you would make money in London, and spend it in North Florida. The "Dollar Menu" was price-standard, with 4$ big macs when I left the US, and we went to London where they were 6-7L. The price is the same here, but in AUD.
You can really tell what things cost by looking at the Big Mac Standard.

Postal workers picked my mail up at the house and delivered it to my door. Trash and recycling came to my front kerb once a week, all on the city dime.

America I can earn the same wage as I would in Australia, So that alone would raise my standard of living heaps by moving there.. In America you cna buy 2 2015 WRX's for the price of one here...

Higher Prices across the board are due to inflation and income rises.
In all honesty back in 1993 a high class Perth Brothel was charging $250 per hour. If you look at what is being charged now, inflation hasn't really hit punters pockets at the same rate as inflation or income increases.

Just returned from England where I made three visits in two days. 100 pounds per hour for an absolute angel in a fabulous establishment. Paid 20 pounds for extra of my choice: you are silly with CIM, Anal, Snowballing, Dressup, COB, COT, the list goes on. So $255 for a ride to heaven, there were no complaints.
I think the problem here is that as the industry is suffering, the clients are less frequent, so the ladies need to charge more to maintain their income.
I would have thought that it should have been the other way around. You have to get the clients to your door and if the price is too high, they will stay away in droves.

I did a full lap of the M25 one night, Its one great drive at night, after driving it you realize just how big London really is, and what London is , its just not whats along the Thames, I did a lot of driving there in London over 6 months and the hidden places and out of the way places you can get in a car is so much better than some of the well worn tourism sites.... But the M25 at night is one hell of a drive... I would love to do the Berliner Ring which is longer than the M25.

If you are paying a solicitor that much and above you are trying desperately to keep your ass out of prison I would say, but $500 for a hours enjoyment well that is: $8.333 per minute.. so if the average dude lasts 5 minutes he has spent $42.00 approx....
A parlor in Melbourne since 2005 has risen its prices 88% over 10 years, so 8.8% a year that has been 2 times plus inflation over the same time period and wages have not gone up to match... and its the same for the wider price structure here in Australia, Australians are the most greedy people on earth I would say when it comes to costs,charges etc etc, I am hoping there is a major recession here like what Spain and Greece have faced, then prices will be brought back including house prices how can a house in the back end of the earth without a train line or services in general be worth more than a house in London come on... Australians are being ripped off for everything.... No wonder why loads of men are going to south east asia for sex tours I don't blame them, and loads of men actually do FIFO to singapore, japan, korea etc etc than back to Perth for the 2 weeks off, as charges are killing them,...
