You can get a quick handy for 200k vnd (1 Oz dollah is around 16k, so that is anl little over 10 bucks. At some of them, you can get FS for 500k vnd.

There is a place called street called duong Nguyen Phi Kahn (duong=street) where there are a bunch of slightly better (still nasty) hot toc BJ joints. 400k vnd a shot. There is another kinda famous one of these called Benny's. I think it's on duong cong hoa, but I can't swear that. It's easy to google.

I would mostly avoid action on bui vien. It's crawling with scammers, pickpockets and chicks that will spike your drink. It's super tourist focused, which means everything is overpriced. But if you want to go have a beer, watch the dancing girls and meet a bunch of alcoholic 60 year old sexpats, it's the place to be. there was a place across the road from albatross travel where there was a backroom you could get multiple girls to drink with you while you get sucked and fucked, but it isn't cheap by local standards. Great value compared to here though.

There are a bunch of KTV joints. Most are really expensive. Many have extremely beautiful girls. You can get serviced on site in a lot of them. Most have girls that will go home with you. there is one called (I think) level 9 which sounds interesting where room, food, drinks and sex are all in one all inclusive fee. It's pricey but supposed to be pretty good service and is likely to end up way cheaper than most ktvs once they surprise you with all the hidden fees at the end of the night

There are bia om and cafe on (beer/coffee with a hug) joints. Kinda like Japanese hostess bars. You aren't getting laid here, you buy overpriced lady drinks for a scantily clad girl to sit with you.

If you want to spend a little more, head down to little Japan. Super hot girls. Lots of hostess bars where you aren't getting more than a hug, mostly frequented by Japanese and Koreans. Since life is cheap there, go have a beer at one as a warm up before hitting the massage joints. Linh Cherry is legendary and easy to find. Line ups of large numbers of super hot girls in super tight ao dai. Full service for 2 million vnd (130 bucks roughly) well worth a visit

Over in thao dien, there are a few decent joints like nature mild massage. I always had a great time there. Sometimes got invited down to the room where all the girls eat and drink where I would be plied with free food and beer in the hopes that I might choose to go again. Some real hot girls, some 40 something not bad looking girls. YMMV.

There is a hooker bar/nightclub called apocalypse now that may be worth a visit. people also go to lush and the sky at , but I am not really a club guy, so I can't say much.

Do not expect it to be like Thailand, Singapore, the phillipines
Cambodia. There is a very active sex industry, but it's also a very conservative country. Vietnam does everything Vietnam's way. Hardened sexpats are sometimes disappointed. Personally I just went there for work. But since I was there anyway, I thought i may as well experience the local culture.

It's a pretty hard language to learn, but I strongly suggest at least getting your greetings, yes and no's, your how much and your numbers down. If you arent in bui vien or thao dien, English won't get you far, but you don't need much to get by.

I love Vietnam. Had some great massages there. I'm an addict for egg coffee. Interested to hear where you guys end up. Little Japan is pricey by Viet standards, but the sheer volume of options makes it an experience.
 
One thing to be aware of when planning your trip is that Tet is about to happen. Most places close and most people leave the city for several weeks. It moves slightly every year because it's based on a lunar calander, but I reckon saigon will be in ghost town mode for most of February. Likely by Feb 1st with people probably returning by the 20th.

Personally, I love Saigon when it is empty and you own the streets, but if you are going to be there during that time, stock up on tinned and packaged food before the majority of shops close and the remaining shops are poorly stocked with inflated prices on what they have.
