Happy Valentine's Day Beautiful People!
Or Happy Belated Valentines Day... meant to send this message out earlier, I am working in the office at Langtrees tonight and we have had a busy Sat with cupid firing arrows that last for 30 - 120 minutes or much longer for the lucky punters who treated themselves to the company of a lovely Langtrees lady... or two.. or more!
Valentine's Day is named after St Valentine, a Roman priest from the 3rd century. He performed weddings illegally when marriage became banned (to breed better soldiers). Valentine was executed on 14 February, dying for the lovers he married, what a romantic rebel he was!
The first Valentine was a prison letter from Charles, the Duke of New Orleans, sent from the jail in the Tower of London in 1415. A copy still exists in a museum in England.
More than 250 million roses are produced and sold worldwide for Valentine's Day. It is a multi billion dollar day that consistently ranks one of the highest earning holidays worldwide.
Anti Valentine's Day is growing. Singles awareness day is being celebrated on February 15th so for all those beautiful people who are single have a Happy Singles Awareness Day!
