Wondering if it’s just me because I’m not enjoying House Of The Dragon as I did with Game Of Thrones.

Maybe it’s the production dynamics and cast. Just not feeling this series at all. I’ll persevere with it at the moment. Anyone have their thoughts?

Me neither. Watched the first episode and couldn’t get into it at all … maybe because there wasn’t one character that was remotely likeable … and some of the acting was pretty average.

It feels a lot slower and so many cast member changes due to advancing ten years has made it harder to know them, feels like we missed a whole chapter that has shaped their personalities in ways we now dont understand.

I’m thinking it’s possibly the cast, characters and acting that is not appealing to me. I’m not normally interested in these shows but for some reason Game Of Thrones hooked me in.

True, in Game Of Thrones literally saw some of the actors growing up throughout the series as the storyline unfolded.

The last episode of House Of The Dragon for Season 1 airs tomorrow morning. Pretty unremarkable first season and definitely won’t be rewatching any episodes.

I’m usually not into fantasy programs but Game Of Thrones captured my imagination for some reason, I’ve watched all seasons three times now.

Possibly the cast, storyline and quality was what saw me enjoying GOT, HOTD not so much. Will give Season 2 a chance as it could just be a slow unfolding of the story.

I felt GOT really pushed the boundaries of sexual content but a huge percentage of the series storyline was very sensual.

GOT season 8 was literally the worst season ever ...what a way to kill the finish... HOTD is far better than that at least...
True by season eight a lot of the production staff had enough and GOT had a rushed ending. HOTD has had it’s redeeming moments but I’ll wait until next season to see how it unfolds.

Also have to agree with the above comments, the time lines jumped so much in this season, will see the finale but doubt will bother to watch another season , such a shame was expecting much more from House Of Dragons.

Yeah I’ve found it disappointing.

Interesting how time has stood still over 700 years between HOD and GOT. Dont there people know how to invent anything?
There were hints if the wall being built I think to tie into GOT.

Outfits, weaponry, gear all still the same. Dwellings, boats still the same ....
Yeah obvious budget restraints in this series. Very little if any multi country shootings of the story line line GOT.

Most of this last episode of HOTD was setting up for season two. Not a powerful ending to season one like some season endings in GOT. In reflection season one of HOTD had been a hard watch, I won’t rewatch it like I did GOT.
