Yes, maths matter.
But I don't understand the comment about needing to make a comparison either.

Isn't it just saying 16kg of grain will feed 20 people.
Therefore forget about using it to produce cattle because each 16kg of grain can only produce 1kg of beef that'll only feed 2 people.
Therefore cattle a waste of use of grain.
(Ignore milk, calves, etc)

I think?
