Had an interesting start to the day, was out in the streets at 3am assisting a young lady who was screaming for help in a domestic violence incident. Good start to the birthday :) The story is too long to print here, but it could have been serious.

We had a case in Adelaide only 2 days prior of a woman being murdered as a result of domestic violence, screamed for help but nobody came to help her, so when you are awoken by the sound of someone screaming for help, it's not a difficult decision to make. Not trying to make myself sound like some kind of hero, you just do these things without thinking. I really do think if I hadn't turned up when I did, the situation could have gotten uglier than it already was. Trouble is, once the police rolled up, they took my details and sent me packing, so I have no way of finding out how it turned out.

Good karma would make a nice change :)
