North Melb look like the team to rise this year and surprise some. They have been showing signs of improvement last year but maybe this year under Clarkson could go higher. Sadly my team Eagles don't look good this year.

They should get rid of Round 0 (opening round). Teams who play in the opening round matched up against a team who had the bye the previous week results more likely in a win for the team who have a match under their belt.

Carlton who played in Round 0 beat Richmond who did not play in Round 0.
Hawthorn who played in Round 0 thrashing Essendon who did not play in Round 0.
Geelong who played in Round 0 at home beating Frem who did not play in Round 0.
Suns who played in Round 0 at home thrashing Eagles who did not play in Round 0.

Sadly WCE are bottom now. They were thrashed by Port at Mandurah in practice game and thrashed by the Suns. Can we do better than 1 win this year? Other contenders for the wooden spoon are Essendon, Richmond and maybe Port with their new coach.
