The wealthiest 1% will soon own more than the rest of the world's population, according to a study by anti-poverty charity Oxfam.

The charity's research shows that the share of the world's wealth owned by the richest 1% increased from 44% in 2009 to 48% last year.

On current trends, Oxfam says it expects the wealthiest 1% to own more than 50% of the world's wealth by 2016.
 
It's kind of like the law of gravity...... the heavy get heavier.......fairness does not even come into it.

Be not jealous of the good fortunes of the fortunate......

Oh far from it, mr Lingham. The bank owns my house and my fund manager is laughing all the way to his bank as my Super deflates. Market not looking up apparently but fees are still the same, you pay them if your super performs or not. I guess I am quite close to the 1% of world domination. I am part of the 99% that is standing next to the 1%. :confused:

You might be surprised. I was when I read Oxfam's definition. Fingers crossed that you will be too.
