Hi all…this is creepy as hell…in the past 3 days i have had the profiles of two girls ive visited
over the past 5 years appear under ‘people you may know’ on facebook. Neither are in my phone contacts
but both i have visted multiple times but its been at least 2 years since i saw either. i didnt know
either of their real names but i do now. Coincidentally both girls i had psuedo relationships with in the
sense that i would often see both with no money involved and more of a FB hook up.. Also neither
knew my real name.
Im flabberghasted by this..anybody have anything similar happen to them?

I've had Lily coming up on mine . Guess it finds you by your phone number . After sms messages possibly .

Yea it’s totally creepy, I put it down to our phones are just Constantly listening and interacting with what’s near by

Facebook must know if you’ve sent text messages or something. I’ve had something similar to a WL I saw once when I lived in Melbourne a few years ago and only recently she started popping up as someone you may know

If you haven't saved your mobile no on Facebook profile...this shouldn't happen...may be fb links your mobile no to your profile using gps locations of yr mobile/iP address....Scarry...always use burner phone buttons one which doesn't has location tracking....

Facebook will make suggestions for you of people who have looked you up, or are connected to you in some way through your connections. They dont have access to your telco records. So I would suspect these people have googled your phone number if they didnt already know your real name

Turning off locations permissions for 'Faceplant' too is ideal as Facebook geo-tracks users so if their paths cross the algorithms connect the dots.

I gave 'Faceplant' the boot years ago due to privacy breaches.

AI engines are getting smarter if you have been in the same place at the same time with no one else around .....dots connected.

Use Facebook over tor, and never use real name on Facebook. You are starting to see what lack of concern for your own privacy can cause down the road

Facebook search has improved and they can probably scan numbers you have used and match them if still the same. You guys are going to need the private messaging we have at https://au.langtrees.com/. This feature we are still working on and it won't be finished until December. Our IT genius has taken into consideration that search engines will have no access to this area.
