Smart move - might be a bit of a queue tomorrow.
Agree slim pickings but when was the last time the pickings weren't slim in living memory? Seems to be the essence of modern politics.
However, for me, tomorrow is all about avoiding the bigger evil of the slim pickings.

Went looking for the new Bamboo Massage place in Rockingham a week ago, thinking that's not too high profile, I can park up & give it a go.
Turned the corner & lo & behold, an early voting station right next door with all the campaign volunteers & queues of 20+ people.
Just laughed to myself & thought the pollies would be the only ones in there !

What's happened is Labor very cleverly marked people in certain areas offering electric bikes scooters sporting equipment white goods free fast food get out of jail free etc for your secured breveren vote funny how Labor got most of the seats with that donkey Albanese as a leader.

Liberal Party is in complete denial. Lost the state and federal elections by running the same style of campaigns used for decades. Party is run by old men who are trying to cling to power and haven't had a new idea in decades. When it became obvious they were no hope they stopped supporting Dutton and faded away like Homer into a shrub. Shown by opposition members reduced support for policies like nuclear power in the last 10 days.
Voters are sick and tired of opposition running negative campaigns with no policies or new ideas. The Greens policy of "making mortgages lower" was just nonsense without a plausible explanation of how it could be done..
Stop complaining about non existent media bias. Stop pretending you're being overspent on campaigns. Stop suggesting voters are gullible and can't see through politicking. Stop treating voters like idiots. Most importantly stop listening to out of touch old men and their people just because you risk losing their millions in donations.
This is coming from not just a life long Liberal voter but a former Liberal Party member who could see the party lose it's way. I voted Labor in the state and federal elections for the time ever because the Liberal party is a mess.
