Yep! It wasn't until I had stopped searching and had become happy with myself on my own that I found a relationship that actually adds something to my current life. I was shocking for wanting to just be in a relationship for the sake of it.

Because I truly believe that this is a correct statement......
Too often both men & women rush into relationships
because they are just want to be in one!
In my 20s, I enjoyed the freedom of being on my own, having flown the nest and settling down / marriage was only a distant possibility on the horizon. In my 30s, I threw myself into work and didn't have time to be lonely... or very happy. In my 40s, having left my crazy job behind and with more free time on my hands, I have begun to feel pangs of loneliness.
It would be nice to finally meet my sole mate / soulmate and feel the happiness, comfort and love that (I imagine) comes from being with The One. And someone to wipe the drool off my chin after I've had my inevitable stroke.
But I'd definitely be alone and lonely than trapped in an unhappy relationship and lonely.
not totally, co dependence practiced correctly is the single most amazing feeling I've ever had. The co is the main factor here not dependence. Happy alone first is my plan b, alas. Daz. X
