Yep! It wasn't until I had stopped searching and had become happy with myself on my own that I found a relationship that actually adds something to my current life. I was shocking for wanting to just be in a relationship for the sake of it.

Because I truly believe that this is a correct statement......
Too often both men & women rush into relationships
because they are just want to be in one!

DD I agree and they do not give each other any room or space in the relationship

Each should allow the other time out and this is where the issue of trust comes into play

The attraction of wanting to be in a relationship and having to be seen to be in a relationship breeds contempt and jealousy

uspex.jpg single love it.jpg I am selfish and stubborn. Happy to be like that all my life. I don't expect someone roll into my life and paint it in different colours. I paint my life the way I like. Travel where i want, study what I want, work where I want without asking for approval and compromise from someone. And when people ask me.." Dont you feel lonely sometimes?..."
Listen to this people...

I DON'T HAVE F@KING TIME TO GET LONELY!-))))))))))))))))))))

In my 20s, I enjoyed the freedom of being on my own, having flown the nest and settling down / marriage was only a distant possibility on the horizon. In my 30s, I threw myself into work and didn't have time to be lonely... or very happy. In my 40s, having left my crazy job behind and with more free time on my hands, I have begun to feel pangs of loneliness. :(

It would be nice to finally meet my sole mate / soulmate and feel the happiness, comfort and love that (I imagine) comes from being with The One. And someone to wipe the drool off my chin after I've had my inevitable stroke. :wtf:

But I'd definitely be alone and lonely than trapped in an unhappy relationship and lonely.

I have meet quite a few more mature people who have fallen in love later in life & taken the plunge !
Case in point a friend of mine was 58 when she married someone about 50! THIS YEAR THEY CELEBRATED 7TH YEAR ANNIVERSARY!

so don't give up yet!!!!!

not totally, co dependence practiced correctly is the single most amazing feeling I've ever had. The co is the main factor here not dependence. Happy alone first is my plan b, alas. Daz. X
