I have read some place that Men and Women react to differing sexual stimuli.

Men are very visual hence the proliferation of nudie magazines. Women on the other hand like stories hence books like the Black Lace series of books. I wonder though if women are just as aroused by nude pics of men. I am excluding movies here as they do tend to be a mix of story and visual.

I think men are far less Interlectual the relpy to the story I posted are all from females so men dont seem to get as aroused by stories as women do. I love to write and read stories I find them quite exciting. Equally I do enjoy looking at pics as well.

There fore i consider my self to be neutral on the question of Interlectual V Visual.

Where do you fall on this scale ?

I don't think it is a case of men prefer pictures because theyre less intellectual. I am a woman and I love porn and I love erotic stories and I am certainly not lacking on the intellectual scale. I think each serves a different purpose for me. I read erotic stories for pleasure, whereas I watch porn for the sole purpose of turning myself on. They stimulate different parts of me.

Pornography is certainly a visual turn on! But I find that when watching porn I can close my eyes and simply listen to the actors/actresses moans of pleasure and get turned on. Reading erotic stories is different in that it gets my imagination going and my fantasies take over... but it is all mental. Porn means that I dont have to work my mind....I can just work my body
 
I don't actually read stories of the sexual nature - I'm more interested in reading Jack Kerouac, Allan Ginsberg [although, Howl does have some graphic in its words], William Burroughs, Oscar Wilde, etc....

However, pictures don't actually turn me on either. And I must say, pictures of men definitely don't. Now don't get me wrong, I love both the female AND male physique, but pictures don't really cut it for me, neither do films.

I find that my imagination best sets me off. The only way I can orgasm during sex is to either get myself off and visualise the pictures that I'd like to have happen to me, or if someone is damn good with their tongue. Just stickin' yer dick in the hole ain't gonna do it! ahahah

So ummm, I have neither visual, nor intellectual stimulation. Mine's inbetween in a way....more like fantasy.
 
In regards to porn (videos/pictures etc) I find it is the women that do it for me.

The porn industry wants average guys to be able to identify with their product. So they use average looking guys. That way the guys watching can think, "Man if that ugly bastard is bonking that hot babe maybe there is a chance for us". And it also means that guys are covered in terms of their homoerotic feelings. Most guys don't want to watch sexy guys slamming porn stars- they don't want to be sitting there thinking, 'He is really hot and has great muscle definition'. They want to be focusing on the girls!

So anyways for me porn is all about the girls. Which is why most straight girls either don't like porn at all, or like gay porn. And why they like fantasising about sex more than actually seeing it- then the guy can look as hot as they like. And the girl he is having sex with is them- just the way they like it!

Way too much education

Having an active imagination

I find naked pictures of the male form can be a turn on but need to show at least 1/2 the body and preferrable the face with a smile.Can't stand dick pictures as the first photo I see, if looking at a profile and it had three photo's I would want to see the face and chest first, a full back profile (Butts turn me on) and then a equipment (dick) photo if I was still interested.When I was a member of AMM and red hot pie any one that had dick photo's only on there profiles just didn't rate a reply.

i dont mind nude pics of men... as long as they are tastefully or artistically taken, and not crude. b + w pics or sepia are most of the best, not into the whole "here is my genetalia" thing.. thats crass and off putting. something where a sheet, towel, or shirt covers their bits up.. leaves something to the imagination. kinda like the way the olympic athletes posed.. that looks fantastic
