DIY Hand Sanitiser

Anyone notice that hand sanitiser is in short supply in a lot of places currently? My Local IGA for instance has none now. (I got the last bottle).

But you can make your own courtesy of Shannon Lush, who is a cleaning expert specialising in natural ways to clean almost everything.

1 Cup of Alcohol
1 Teaspoon of Tea Tree Oil
2 Teaspoons of Glycerine

Alcohol being isopropyl alcohol, methylated spirits or vodka (bit wasteful for this use!);

For cleaning surfaces Shannon Lush recommends;

1 Teaspoon of Lavender Oil
1 Litre of Water

Put in a spray bottle and off you go.

Dettol soap & hot water is a great substitute for hand sanitizer & newspaper is a reasonable substitute for dunny paper

Newspaper might be but the ink is much less permanent that it was in the 50's. Inky bum anyone? Half arsed classifieds?
