This is a great question. Mild disappointment and I just suck it up and move on. Severe disappointment and I tend to internalise it it in an unhealthy way that increases anxiety and depression if I don't find a healthy outlet for it, like exercise or sex. I rarely get angry.
I wished for every single freaking disappointment, I get a free trip to LT.
I am a bottler of disappointments, don't ask how many bottles i have. I lost count. But some times them bottles fall off the shelf and a loud fart came from them.
I take it, Think about it, ask myself am I to blame or the other party, Can i do anything to correct the situation and if yes, then I deal with it, otherwise I have to put it behind me.
If i caused minor disappointment. I get over it, dependant on who it is i guess... When I have been disappointed I tend to get upset. Sometimes I cry... Lol
More toxic emissions from you, Homer! We really will have to slap an environmental tax on you.
For me, I suck disappointments up, which doesn't mean that they don't hurt or that I don't stew over them, just that I maintain a stiff upper lip in public.
