Hey everyone!
Just an fyi for workers that you can register with Touching Base as a disability friendly worker and go on their referral database. Please ensure that you have some education and experience supporting disabled clients before hand, and take some time to think of what boundaries or exemptions you may have (eg unable to support clients with showering, unable to see clients with incontinence etc) and also what your particular strengths may be (eg autistic worker, worker who knows ASL or have experience using AAC). Touching Base is a really important resource for disabled folks and they need some more workers on their database.
