As a male wheelchair user who's balance is gone due to spinal cord nerve damage. I can stand but I can't lift my foot off the ground without falling over. I am fully functional but can't do a lot of positions and god I miss doggy.

I am very much interested in this thread. I have used a wheelchair for the last 15 years now and have a lot of insight on the subject of disabilities and sex. I'm new to this forum and not sure how much detail or what I should be saying here but please if you have any questions for me, feel free to ask.

A lot of people feel sorry for us and try to understand what we have to go thru but it will never really dawn on them, just how bad it can be. Sexually frustrated? that is most disabled people. Ignored by women? 99% of the time myself. I'm an inspiration, I'm a friend, I'm a decent human with morals and respect for others but I am NEVER boyfriend material. It is also worse for men in wheelchairs as many women (generalising) don't see a man with wants or needs but instead see a broken body and assume we can't even get it up. Women with disabilities are viewed better as even tho they may be wheelchair bound, a guy can still stick it inside and cum but a man who can't get it up? no way he is broken...

As for sex workers. I wish I could afford to spend hours with a worker but it is just not affordable on a dismal disability pension. I went from $2k a week down to $800 a fortnight before bills. This makes it very hard to visit a worker as us disabled people are struggling to make ends meet. I have to save for a long time just to afford a single hour. I'd love to make a 5 hour booking one night.

I just went 7 years without any sex with another person and that is way too long so I decided to visit Savannah Sweet @ langtrees. I was frustrated as hell and just wanted to have a gorgeous lady in my arms and I thank Savannah for that wonderful hour with her. This was also my first ever visit to langtrees and I was surprised by how many workers actually wanted to engage with me and offer their services. This is very good to see.

For the establishments... I suggest that if you have regular wheelchair bound clients, that you install some wall mounted pull down shower chairs. Normal chairs are not safe in a shower. I don't mind having a shower at all and would be happy to. I was asked to have a shower at home before coming down and I don't mind doing that either. It would go a long way to help us feel normal, if we could have a shower and I really like having a shower with the lady beforehand.

Some disabled clients may need to take a carer or support worker with them. I consider my sex life private and taking another person would never happen. For the disabled clients that are forced to take others, this would be embarrassing as hell.

Home visits:
This is a hard one for a lot of disabled people. Due to finances and my health, I do live in the bottom half of a 2 story house with my parents...
I would live alone or with a partner if I could but I don't have many options to. For a sex worker to come out to my place, it would be embarrassing as hell and it's not like I can hide what is going on. I do however have my own vehicle and can drive, so I chose to visit places like langtrees.

Private or locanto escorts:
Well, these I am very wary of and safety is a major concern. The adds that pop up can be misleading at best and I'm worried about being assaulted/robbed as I will always be by myself and would be an easy target. For those reasons, I don't go to random street addresses.

As for the disabled women. YES there are a lot of horny disabled women out there that would use services. Disabled women have needs and wants too.

Another problem i find for myself is im not interested in anything being done to me as any thing down below has no feeling but i do love to give oral which is very hard to do at any other place than my home . At home my bed raises so i can wheel under and have lady sit/lay on edge of bed and i can wheel in and eat till my hearts content. So i would have to trust the people i would call as i can be venerable opening up my home . I cannot get on and off a bed by myself and wouldn't feel safe on another bed anyway.

A lot of ladies have an ABN, the issue is getting NDIS to come to the party unfortunately. You would have to have a very openminded case worker. It's a shame though, because IMO it really is an essential service which should be covered by funding.x

Sorry to say but the NDIS do not and will not pay for Any! sexual services. I tried with the NDIS myself. My case for it was strong with all the facts to prove that you can indeed use NDIS funding for it but not only got flat out rejected but they also kept delaying the results for me.

This also includes sex therapy or sex education for someone with a disability since the NDIS still believe in the theory that people with disabilities don't want/need sex and are not sexual in nature.

Which is my opinion is their form of payback for me even daring to ask about it.

Welcome to the Liberal Government.

Look at the labor Govs.... people vaccinated fully and wish to go to QLD STILL need to do 14 days isolation at home and with a negative test.. FFS same as that asshat Marky Mark in WA... labor used to be for the people. now they are all about screw the people and control them instead.

Phoebe,
I normally look forward to reading what you have to say; and generally agree with you on issues. However, in this example I don’t. The WA Govt has done a very good job in a trying situation - much better than the NSW or Federal governments. They’re not doing what they’re doing for control, but keeping WA communities safe. My wife and I have worked in remote communities and would hate to see the damage the virus would do there.
I wish we had a quicker route to opening up so I could see members of my family, but they’ve done a good job to now.

Hi Mary-Anne,
I have a lot of empathy for people like Wheels and Rolling02. I was in a wheelchair for a while and doubted whether I would walk or work again. When I was able to stand it took me another couple of years of rehab to get back to some form of normalcy and another year after that before I had enough energy available to hold down a job. So I understand a teeny bit of some of the difficulties they face in everyday life.
I’m wondering about helping. If you could initiate some form of discount for wheelchair users who are trying to live on government support (or reduced earnings of some sort), I’ll contribute a hundred dollars for each of these two gentlemen and forum members (or the next two that need support), for an incall or outcall appointment with one of the ladies.
Is this something you could facilitate?
Maybe, if others also want to support, Langtrees might be able to manage a small fund (nothing fancy, just a jar in the safe??).
GD

Great discussion that shows hope and respect for those forgotten by many.

I'm able bodied but have erectile difficulty...do any cater for this?
I'm 6ft 2, ex prison officer who has had a recent circumcision for medical reasons only to be robbed of good hard erections .
So my fear is that I save up my pennies, only to not be able to get hard...
