In an uncanny resemblance of events, a 1981 novel by US-based horror writer Dean Koontz, The Eyes of Darkness, predicted the worldwide pandemic of coronavirus, it has been claimed.

The book, based on a grieving mother investigating the mysterious circumstances of her son’s death, bears striking similarity to the present times plagued by coronavirus.

A passage in the book makes reference to a killer virus known as “Wuhan-400,” the name of the city where the coronavirus originated in real life.
The extract from the novel has since gone viral on the internet, with many social media users expressing disbelief at the subject matter of the work.
The excerpt features a character discussing biological warfare, calling the virus “the perfect weapon.”

“A Chinese scientist … defected to the United States, carrying a diskette record of China’s most important and dangerous new biological weapon in a decade,” the character says.

“They call the stuff ‘Wuhan-400’ because it was developed at their RDNA labs outside the city of Wuhan.”
“Wuhan-400 is the perfect weapon,” he says.

Corona Virus is the biggest event of the 21st century and it has only just begun.
China and Korea have locked down cities, travel bans and government have unlimited power to control its citizens and contain the virus.
Italy has responded with closing schools and universities.
Italy has banned kissing, hugging and handshakes
The world will follow Chinese, Korean and Italian lead to control the spread and stop the virus.

That's true they shut the trains down the other night and the cops told me to try not to use the train for the next couple of weeks next they will shut down domestic flights

That device for temperature should be a hand gun too, so person has a fever then gun mode takes over and sends a round into patients forehead.. no more problem... no need to close the borders either... :)

Big 2m security guards now employed to guard toilet rolls at super markets. The short guys given the boot now bring in the big 2m tall blokes that look intimidating and more likely to stop shoplifters stealing the toilet rolls.

There are no currently available vaccines against the COVID-19 virus.

Under the Trump administration, public health care funding was gutted in his first 2-1/2 years in office -- the goal being no government-subsidized health care or "Obamacare" -- thus severely reducing the CDC's budget. This resulted in our best immunologists and virologists getting the sack and/or seeking employment elsewhere. Now we need them, and they're just not available.

Price-gouging in the health-care industry is nothing new. However, Trump's policies encourage profit-taking over public health. Now, with a pandemic threatening our lives, Trump is scrambling to find enough funding and qualified people to get on top of the COVID-19 crisis.

Trump's assignment of Pence to lead the fight against COVID-19 makes no sense in light of Pence's own mis-handling of the HIV crisis in his homestate.

Of course, Trump is blaming Democrats and the Media -- anyone but himself and his policies -- for the panic and lack of treatment for the virus, when it is obvious that he is fumbling the ball on this one.
