Gently and with plenty of open communication. Make the experience about them and their desires being met (which might mean you aren’t getting what you hope for right away). Research and choose who to see together- and if they say no to anyone don’t try to change that response- it’s fine to ask what’s putting them off that person to clarify potential of other options but don’t push just because you would like to see someone in particular
