I had a visit from the health department 3 weeks ago, they are going to start a campaign on parlours & privates, establishments that advertise unsafe sex. They said it was a $ 2 million initiative, and advertisers who persist after warning will be charged under the police act.
I said it's about time the cost of sexually transmitted STIs is spiralling

Hmm mustn't have been a serious enough matter for Police detective's to act on until it got out of control and the government found out about it. I reckon "not a serious enough matter for Police detectives to act on" is bulldust as Police in the western world are apparently grossly over resourced.

I expect they have more pressing matters than people who do themselves a mischief.
If you want to press them we will end up with a blunt instrument rather than the finesse of trying to convince people to protect themselves.
Using the police to handle public health issues isn't a good idea.

$2 million isn't a lot these days.
