NicNat's don't seem to be getting any longer. They've been that length for awhile. Harry O's are more like it... But he's still a f'n Collingwood player.

Naitanui doesn't have dreadlocks so much as he has "afro" hair. They are caused because most people of that gene pool have very, very tight pores so the hair actually has to squeeze out of the scalp causing that look. Genetically, the people of that African region had to adapt to severe heat - hence their hair adapted to conditions to have a very "airy" format to cool down.
Most white people "achieve" the dreadlock look (some exceptions but very few) by not combing their hair and then just rolling it manually. Few white people have afros.

Yeah! BM I'd go along with that except for the killing bit. Probably more humane to just hold them down and give them a short back and sides.
I think beards on players should be outlawed also.
Does that apply to Fijians too?

Well, the African genetic group are spread all over from Fiji to Germany to England really.

The race may be but the genetic pool is very widespread. In the same way, Australia's sometimes referred to as part of the Indian sub-continent. And if you look at the profile of WA and India, it appears as if they were joined at some point in history.
Many dark-skinned people of "Negroid" extract have more fast-twitch fibres and an enlarged pelvis which gives them an advantage in running and jumping but lousy in swimming.
Many dark-skinned people of Indian extract however are incredible long-distance runners but few are sprinters.
In the hills of Africa, most of the athletes there are long-distance runners. The lowlands tend to produce sprinters. Given Australia's Ethiopian refugees it won't be too long before Australia dominates long distance athletics, basketball and cricket I suspect.

The thing about Nic Natanui which I like is that he has a very likeable image and quiet sensible behaviour about him. Of course, we all grow up but many sports stars lose their common sense and decency along the way.
He has moved out of home for example but has rented a house in the next street. And he comes home every few nights for dinner. In so many interviews he has expressed how he admires his mother for bringing them up singlehandedly. I just hope he doesn't blow his money like so many people on things like restaurants etc and then do their dosh.
