Forum used to be my first stop for research. I will log in automatically, remember the ridiculous changes, struggle to navigate or find recent information, log out and use PP.

Is it just me or is activity way, way down?

How many articles did you write about your experiences when it was the good times ?? Yeh, activity is a 2 way street here .. and its def on the down.
I been looking ..

There was a massive drop in activity over the past 6 months or so, then a decent upturn in the past month. Hopefully it will continue

As a percentage though the ads and hello’s contribute massively to the number of posts, also if you go via the forums WA discussion etc the timelines are all out so I go via the “new posts” link which at least lets you know where you have read up to, the downside been you have to wade through all the dross

Yep me too. That’s why the question about postings coming from Langtrees. It’s their forum so they can post as many as they like but I’m not sure I can see anything but a down turn in postings coming from forum members. Either way no great concern as I still enjoy popping in and out of here.

I normally browse via "new posts" as well but i have noticed that not all threads from the Perth subforums actually appear there, so it's worth checking those individual forums as well

Yes I noticed that myself so usually do a sweep through the forums a couple of times a week but it’s just annoying wading through them

It is still a pain in the arse but use the filters button top right of each forum to rearrange, image below of what I use.

As I've mentioned in other threads, I am new here and finding it to be better than nothing as a forum, but it is still a bugger to navigate and all the spam adverts don't help with that.
 
I think Pillinger and I accounted for some increase in the reviews recently but in the absence of contributions from other Punters I felt like it was a one way street and decided the other platform was more useful to me. There are frequent daily reviews there. I still come here for the entertainment though.
