Porn movie making not as you would think.....its lots of takes, lots of bullshit and not that sexy.....watching the edited version looks great but the process you would be suprised....i think the fluffer has the best job :) xxx

Funny you say that Saige.
I used to work on the sets of porn films in LA.. for a few film companies and yes there is a lot of BS, and crap going on overall, as a still photographer my job was easy, just shoot the stills when the director needed them done, create the artwork and get them published in the trade publications.

I've seen a lot of mistreatment going on and then of course I've seen a lot of folks treated well to, it all depends on the director and the producer.

The fluffer's are an interesting bunch..

Bottom line a lot of hard work for such low payment i my book.

Maybe it's another service Langtrees could offer, get the girls to wear some form of disguise and let the punter live a fantasy. MMMMM Just an idea!!

Just found out I'll be filming a porno in about two months, 2 couples, I did the stills the last time and it was pretty good, but this time I've been asked to do the filming and directing.. (I've done a few myself). Meet on Thursday with lead female to discuss the shoot.
The last time the director was fairly new and really did not move too much (angles) and the outcome was quite boring to be honest.

Congrats on getting some work! What camera do you use?

I hope you get a halfway decent director. Really, if you think about it, all porn is essentially the same the thing over and over again. So making it interesting is quite a challenge.

I use a Canon XHA1 and yes but being creative and knowing how you want things to flow is part of the directors job and I do storyboards too for continuity.

I've been on so many shoots (non-porn) where the director had no clue about time management. Frustrating when we're expecting to wrap up at midnight and still there at four in the morning! Or worse, we only have a location for a given amount of time but don't end up getting half the shots needed due to running out of time.

I've never worked on a project that used storyboards. I know it helps on a larger production where they have several departments or need to script things out to make sure the story flows. Do you find they help a lot?

Oh yes, when I do a photo shoot I use storyboards to keep my idea flowing and keep the shoot flowing knowing what to do next is important and especially due to the flow, such as hair wet scenes vs non wet scenes.
I also supply each person a shoot sheet so they know what they need to bring and time, location, etc... minimizes problems.

Are you doing this in Perth?

I would love to make some more arousal porno films then just fucking. Build up tension and really see her get horny:love10::la::la::love10:

Now Muffy do you think I belong behind the camera???? Though I reckon I could handle both jobs....Traci Lords style!!!:laughing4

There is, after a fashion. There are loads YouTube clone sites around for people to upload their "home movies", though most of what gets uploaded is scenes from professional productions.

Youporn.com is the first that springs to mind, though there are loads around.

However, your idea of "private porns for peoples own use" overlooks the problem that anything digital will eventually be uploaded to the internet. If someone has made a "home movie" then as soon as they pass a copy off to one other person, then they have lost control of that video. There's nothing stopping it being up on the net and accessible by anyone.

Not too sure I agree with your statement about losing control of the video. I have to say that of the home movies I've made for others there are clauses that prevent them from being uploaded and because I do have embedded information on the clips they can be tracked...
I do have contracts that strictly prohibit uploading any part of a video without my permission in writing, so far everyone has complied with this and therefore we continue to make more movies.
Guess you can say there is a trust issue surrounding this. As most of the "actors" are your everyday folks with jobs at government departments, uni teachers and etc.. don't think anyone wants to get "busted" for this type of work.. Can you imagine a uni lecturer trying to explain herself if a student posted a clip of her on the campus network.. all hell would break out.

Trust, precisely.

My comment was directed more at people just fooling around with a camera rather than a proper production with contracts. It is quite common for people to "share" videos/photos of their ex's.

True to that, god knows I have plenty of the ex.. but they stay for my viewing pleasure only.. never saw the benefit of showing anyone my ex. She may be the ex, but there is still respect even if there is a lot of pain/hate she delivered...

I went to the US and was offered to do a film but they are not paying much!
