The site tells me I need to make a certain minimum number of posts (25?) before I can have an avatar…. Does that sound right to you, Linda?
 
Well I've just worked out how to update other bits of my profile.

Now improved with some gentle words and a few descriptors.

Not sure how I feel about this new message board reverse-format. But maybe that's a discussion for a different thread.

Since your arrival, I have already learned something.

Truth is I had no idea what the meaning of Halcyon was. Now I do :) So thanks for that.

For those that don't.......

1. Calm and peaceful; tranquil.
2. Prosperous; golden: halcyon years.

1. A fabled bird, identified with the kingfisher, that was supposed to have had the power to calm the wind and the waves while it nested on the sea during the winter solstice.
2. A kingfisher, especially one of the genus Halcyon.

oh Zeus Thank you for the warmest welcome. I really am blushing. and I'm glad you enjoyed learning about the meanings as much as I enjoy living and breathing them. Maybe one day you might like to learn a few more things about this Halcyon ; )

BTW - Do you have the power to calm the wind and the waves?? Could be handy if you are able to do so.

EXTREMELY IMPRESSIVE.

PS: I reckon parting seas must be quite a cool party trick? And I am guessing that is a pretty good way of ensuring that you are the person who lights up the room.

Halcyon I'm in Vietnam so numbers still to be tested. Upon my return into the lotto machine they go. I'm a man true to his word :-) should I collect you'll definitely receive a share....and I would never, never use that terrible cliche "trust me".
