Hey I am an amateur when it comes to BDSM, and over the last 2 years I have played a little bit but now have met someone that I can practise with on a regular basis(wants to be my slave) ;), is there anyone that can give me some pointers or advice regarding this Please!!!
When I have played(practised it was always with a Dom and I was always sub), I like to switch things up every now and again have to keep life interesting!!!
Any help or pointers would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks Farm boy I will have to discuss these things with him when we catch up for coffee again just so that I can get the bigger picture on how he feels about whips and floggers. I have started off very lightly with him at the moment trying to figure out his boundaries.
 
Maybe print out a limits checklist for you both to fill out that way it's kind of a visual reference and discussion starting point. Some checklists have that gradient rating that shows how someone's kinks are sitting on the spectrum.

This is definitely a great idea :)
 
Another thing to start with play is to start light. Impact play is quite entertaining, but i suggest light work with floggers and crops to 'warm up' with. Electro play is also a great intro to sensation play.
 
I've been having a relationship with a woman who has an appetite for being dominated and from talking to her there seems to be a big difference in how men like to act as a sub compared to woman. If this is the case then make sure you keep it in mind that what works for you doesn't mean it that it will definitely work for him.

I have discovered that being a dom really works for me (although I refuse to do the rape fantasy she wanted, that is waaaaaay out of my comfort zone). She has moved away though and now I wouldn't have a clue about where to find women who are into being NSA subs :(
 
Figure out what his pain levels are... Then try and build them up each session.

Or if your me wait until they call yellow... then slow down.. then build them up until they call it again... then slow down... you get the idea... try and avoid red being called. :P

I'm just a cruel mistress though... I make a far better sub. lol
