FYI The 2025 Australian federal election will be held on or before 17 May 2025 to elect members of the 48th Parliament of Australia. All seats of the House of Representatives (150 compared to 151 in the previous election) and 40 of the 76 seats in the Senate will be contested.

The election has not been called, but I'm guessing Albo will go long meaning a May election. He could call it as early as 8th March if he does it today (unlikely).

One day after my birthday I better vote this year tried last time and they couldnt find my name as had not moved me from darwin
 
My take for women.

Free Feminine hygiene products or if not free close enough.

Do something about the issue facing every woman in the nation. Domestic Violence and how last year 101 women were killed that to me is a curtail issue that needs addressing.

Not one will lower your cost of living, and as this is about Women's POV, 101 Women were killed in 2014, and I think already in 2025 we are up to 10 of so and the year is still newish, so what are they really doing to protect women, not much no matter who gets in on a State Level and a Federal level combined women will still be very much sitting ducks at the hands of men. sad really in a modern day advanced nation like Australia.

Years ago I lived in England and one of the most shop lifted Items from Supermarkets back then was Feminine Hygiene products, and those products were some of the most damaged items too as females would go to aisle and remove a single Tampon or Pad and use it because of the costs of products, which is partly the reason why Scotland did this. maybe Australia needs to follow suit and actually do something tangible and real to help women with the struggling costs of living considering these products women need not just once but for over 30 plus years then some.

Scotland has become the first country in the world to make period products free for all. There is now a legal duty on local authorities to provide free items such as tampons and sanitary pads to "anyone who needs them"

I predict Albo will visit the Governor General on Sunday 9th March (day after the WA State Election) and the Federal Election will be 3rd May giving us 8 weeks of official campaigning.

Gutsy statement in this forum :-) But I know what you mean. Where are the politicians with vision, purpose and principals. I'm so sick of self serving dickheads of all political persuasions. They just want to keep the snout in the trough for as long as they can. Let's not even think about the US ATM. It's like Wallace and Gromit now have complete power.
