OK - this should cause a bit of controversy....

After reading an article "What are you worth" - see

it would seem as though W/L's are overpaid.

What do you say to that??

Nothing to do with Salary's or wages, The Lady s Of the Night are small business operators working in a free market charging whatever the market will bear , for a wide variety of service's at all hours 24/7. The PGA would be very proud of every one of them.

Yes but so are investment bankers and politicians. Atleast with working girls you get something (usually) for your money :p

Citywest pay more have a great time. If you dont feel shortchanged then it
must of been value for money.
And its better than going to the bank where they screw you and you leave

I love doing what I do but I definitely wouldn't do it for any less, even sometimes when you don't feel like working or you need a break the money doesn't even help to motivate me. As much as I do enjoy doing it majority of the time it's still hard work physically and mentally. Especially having the energy to lie to people you love everyday about what you do your friends, boyfriend and family. Why would we do this if we were getting paid a normal or just above normal wage?? I definitely disagree with that. As alecia said 'only we can decide what were worth'.
 
I agree girls......our job is not comparable with the salary list of so called 'normal' jobs.

In a word "no" agree with you happy2 never been dissapointed at langtrees yet apart from with the booking system or whoever was ignoring it!! it is worth it, having said that I see the same lady, mainly because she is the best on every level and the nicest person I have had the pleasure to know!!
you can keep the cheapies in the paper, you will never get the same level of service unless you are extremely lucky!!
cant imagine its the easiest job at times either, sure we all deal with muppets at work. but were not expected to "be intimate with them"

Thanks for the "thumps up" ifap4. I know for a fact that the W/L at Langtrees work hard to make their guest happy. We realise that you guys pay a fair bit of money to be with one of us (hehehe or sometimes even two of us :3some:) so let's but some effort in. And I can't say it often enough but we like a good/sexy/horny session as well.......so let's make the most out of it.

I reckon they are paid what they should get. I would love them to lower their prices so I could enjoy them more often, but let's be realistic. I would also work as a working man if I could choose who my clients are, then it would be the best job in the wod, but realistically, many WL's are often faced with clients who they find very unattractive, which means they deserve their money. I am sure at times many WL's see clients who they think " wow look at this guy, this is going to be fun". To all the WL out there, does this happen to you, and how often do you find a client attractive?

Just a straight comparison on a currency conversion isn't a proper comparison. You need to look at how long it takes the average worker of the particular country to earn the amount charged for the service. This then becomes a better comparison and you may find that the average thai W/L actually charges more than the average Aussie one. However the Thai girls come to work here because the exchange rate rockets their earnings, even though they may charge less than the average Aussie W/L whilst here.

Yes Farmboy And if a lady really does charge to much her business ,or her place of
work will go bust in no time .The right balance does seem to be found generally

The thing that gets me is this feeling of "It's not a real job" so how can they earn more
than me?
 
Please remember that we do not get paid when we are off sick, we do not get paid for holidays, we do not get shift loading, we do not get annual leave loading, we do not get super, we are not entitled to get income protection, quite often there are no occupation health and safety protection......now tell me that wls are overpaid?

We also only get paid when we actually see a client, and if we work for a parlour or agency, we only get paid 40-50% of what the client has paid, if we work for ourselves, we have all our own business overheads to pay regardless if we have work or not, we do not get paid for the time we spend answering emails, dealing with phone enquiries, etc etc which can all take up hours each and every day.

As a small business owner we have to factor into our hourly rate all of the above.

Some clients think ladies are seeing 10 plus clients a day each and every day and thats rarely true. I see perhaps 4-5 clients per month.

So no I dont think wls are overpaid, in fact many are grossly underpaid for the services they provide.

Their worth what someone is willing to pay for it. If we think its too dear we can allways have a wank and keep our money in our pocket. you cant take it with you when your dead, may aswell give it to someone that will make use of it. (100 pairs of shoes,50 handbags guchi ones at that and make up like youve never seen before lol) They dont tell you what happens behind the scene mate, just think if you had 10 cocks up your ass in one night - busted ass big time - I know it seems dear if your low paid but its a rich mans game

Lawyers win my trophy of the most overpaid individuals that most people have a day to day, ground level contact with.
You can't fuck them, like you would a WL, after you give them your money, although I'd often thought of trying to find ways of fucking them up, some how.

If your looking for a robotic, “me no understandy” fuck machine, then a cheap import might do you.

If working girls are thought of as disproportionately too expensive, in Australia, how about focusing on other things like grocery prices & taxes.
 
I have to agree about the time put in behind the scenes; answering phone calls, putting thought into advertising, driving to clients, getting waxed, plucked, bleached, hair dressing, clothing etc all takes time, effort and money for us to keep up.

Too true also that we do not get super, shift loading etc.

I love what I do and the freedom it gives me, there are times when I am with a gorgeous man out for dinner or having a wonderful sexual experience and being paid when I can't believe my luck. There are other times when I am wishing I could just give the money back and run out the door because he is incredibly drunk, rough or even disrespectful.

About 70% of my bookings are with regulars so I guess they think I am worth the price I ask. I have had regulars book me months in advance, move their business trips around my availability and recommend me to their friends.

I suppose it is up to the individual how they wish to spend their hard earnt dollars.

You come do what we do for a night and decide if what you get is worth it, you get a price based on an initial booking or massage oral and sex but not every lady just provides that we provide conversation, companionship, affection and though some may not believe it love; also we are not paid hourly we are paid per job, sub contractors, so you can sit for 9 hours and possibly earn no money but still talk to every guy that walks through that door hoping he'll book you. you may not realise but the prices comparing brothels and privates are so different because you're paying a fee to the house aswell as the lady. with privates they get all the money there for don't have to charge a house fee.

Bit left field but what would an average to decent W/L earn each year before expenses?? Lets ignore hours actually worked as there aren't many people who are constantly engaged in work over an 6-12 hour shift

200K? Would a decent girl charging reasonable prices (300-400ish per hour) earn 3/4k a week or is that a little high?

Not really that much when you starting paying for expenses.
