Fake confirmed. I sent a simple one word "Hello" SMS to the number. I've deleted it now but the reply didn't come for 2 hours and when it did, it was something like "Can you come now?" I replied "Are your pictures real" to which they responded "Can you call me?" I dutifully called and struggled to understand the Pidgin English being relayed at the other end. Eventually I got a picture and it was quite different, but not as bad as I expected.
