That may be the case but I can't help looking at our parents too. Many of them stayed with their parents until they could save a deposit. If you're going to move out and expect to save money then we're kidding ourselves.
If you meet a significant other and you want to root, save up for the odd holiday away, rent a hotel, motel backseat of the car but if the goal's to have a house, there's nothing like the landlord of mum and and dad or mum or dad depending on divorce arrangements. This isn't a one solution fits all but it's a significant one though.
