AI and the Escort Industry - What do you Think? What is in it for you?

✎ Edit
Let’s be real — AI isn’t just playing with spreadsheets anymore, it’s messing with cheekbones, profiles, and even videos in the adult industry. One snap of a selfie and AI can smooth your skin, fix the lighting, and even turn it into a short video - no cameras, no makeup, no hassle.

At Langtrees, we’re seeing it everywhere. AI can help workers and advertisers stand out, try new looks, and get creative … but it also makes it harder to tell what’s real. In an industry built on trust, that little line between real and fake? Yeah, it suddenly matters a lot.

AI Imaging - Can You Spot the Difference?

To give you an example below are 2 images, one is real the other an AI generated image which the owner has uploaded a single selfie and asked to create a variety of images in different poses and different outfits … can you tell which is which? Hint: If you enlarge each photo you will see the background pixelates with one of them … this is the AI generated!

Made with Grok, yeah. Here's an attempt of a dress colour change, made in seconds just for you ;)

God if you believe in God, Created a beautiful, heavenly, wonderful creature in every given shape and form, and called it Woman..

Fast forward few a thousand years and that perfect creature in no longer perfect enough. it takes a lot to make me cry, but seeing this is doing just that.

Why can't we all just enjoy women as mother nature intended them to be... Naturally beautiful in her right.

Just to be clear... That photo is entirely real and natural - The only change is the colour of the dress in the second image

Also playing around with some Langtrees VIP Canberra Halloween advertising. The original image was turned into a Halloween themed version using https://deepai.org/ - Then turned into a video using Grok

OMG!! This looks absolutely out of this world — I’m in love with it! 🫡

P.S. If the neck had a black or greyish tone, it would’ve looked even more stunning.

I personally (up till now) am against AI, but I can certainly see how it would help us here. I do worry about the legalities for the business and also whether it is fact that .... Once you AI a photo, it then becomes public domain and anyone can use or alter it then. For example.. unblurring a photo and using it.

I have no clue, these are the questions you ask on the blog, using the technology with your original photos would certainly remain copyright to the creator only/
If they can unblur an AI photo, they can unblur a real photo. I have never heard of it being done so I imagine you would have to a computer wizard fcould do that.

this is correct Sally, once you AI a photo it would most likely end up in the public domain but I think the pros still outweigh the cons at this stage...

Lyn once you publish a photo, it ends up in the public domain. To sue someone under copyright law, you have to prove they used your image to earn income. Why would they do that? There are millions of better photos that you can buy for 1-20 $$$, and even heaps of FREE photos on the web.

I always find AI absolutely fascinating — it’s equal parts genius and a little spooky! The way it can transform an image in seconds is mind-blowing. It’s wild how something that started as a tech tool is now reshaping how we see beauty, authenticity, and connection. The way it continues to blur the lines between technology and human creativity is incredible.
Great read and such an eye-opener!

Good one Loz!! Here’s my attempt with the same selfie… but I made the mistake of not giving it a specific prompt and letting it do its own thing… this was the result and I can not stop laughing 🤣😂

Omg I'm American! Nooooooo

The AI industry is obviously the way forward but I think in the sex industry there is enough misleading and misuse of pictures of ladies that this will be another way of making things totally frustrating, especially in the unregulated areas of the industry. Expectations will evaporate when visually the person does not meet the picture. This is both derogatory to the punter also the person being portrayed.

Will AI become a misleading tool that can be used in the Sex Industry, the answer is YES.

AI in photography encompasses a broad range of technologies, including from image recognition and automated editing to generative models that can create photo-realistic scenes from scratch. These advancements are typically powered by machine learning, which are systems trained on massive datasets that learn to perform tasks without being explicitly programmed.

Some common AI applications in photography include:

Autofocus and Scene Detection: AI algorithms in modern cameras can recognize faces, eyes, animals, and even specific environments to adjust settings in real time.

  • Post-processing Tools: Programs like Adobe Lightroom and Luminar use AI to enhance skies, remove noise, sharpen details, and suggest edits.
  • Image Organization: Google Photos and Apple Photos use AI to categorize images by location, face, or event, making searching a breeze.
  • Generative AI: Tools such as DALL·E, Midjourney, and Photoshop’s Generative Fill can create or alter entire images from text prompts.
The fusion of AI and photography is not merely related to automation—it is also about enabling creative possibilities previously thought impossible. AI in photography is neither inherently a savior nor a saboteur. It’s a tool, a very powerful tool that is evolving quickly, one that reflects the intent of its user. For those of us that embrace it thoughtfully, AI in photography can spark new levels of creativity, accessibility, and storytelling. For those of us that resist or misuse it, it may feel like an erosion of tradition and truth.

The challenge, and opportunity, is in how we choose to wield it. With curiosity, ethics, and vision, AI can become not a threat, but the most inspiring creative ally we as photographers have ever known!
So enjoy the ride… we don’t know where the destination is, but at the very least we need to embrace the technology, and hang on for dear life!

Or should that be: Hang on for AI life!

For 1000's who will lose jobs because of it and Automation..... Centrelink....

Pirates with swords were replaced with Cannon Balls..,... LOL
Centrelink has a long way to go... Anyway they keep dragging their feet through everything unless it concerns money. 😆

I worked for a large company before. When they want to cut they firstly appoint a new CEO who then has no baggage. The first cut is their direct reports, then external consultants, then non front line income generators in the back office starting with HR and Training. Then they look to AI to automate back office functions. ANZ is the most recent example.
