Adventures of Snowy

Thought it was time Snowy got his own thread - Adventures of Snowy. Man of mystery. Man of respect. Gets the most out of his punting. Gives us enough. Never too much.

Next time AMP girls asks me wot u name?”

Me say “Snowy” MMWV 😊
Maybe it's time for me to stop posting, good luck & goodbye to everyone, it's been a lot of fun.

That was definitely the intent of the thread💪🏻
I appreciate the thoughts of everyone but I'm just an old horny guy sharing my experiences for a bit of fun & banter.
When you suggested that I get my own thread I sort of panicked a little because it threw me a bit, just like to post a bit if you know what I mean, besides I don't believe I deserve any more praise than anyone else who writes politely about there experiences.

I had some bad news on Wednesday from my Heart Surgeon at Fiona Stanley, he told me that after viewing the Echo Cardiogram that I had some weeks ago that I will need to have open heart surgery to replace one of my valves, some tests to have first but it will happen in the next month or so, didn't expect that news but he told me that I will be dead in 2 years if I don't have it done soon, still okay to keep punting for a while, so it must be good exercise for me.

Hey Snowy. Even though it may be bad news, I am glad they have diagnosed the problems you have and the specialists can sort it all out. Just think that after you get the all clear for some horizontal tango, you will be good to go. Stay well mate. You are an inspiration to all of us 50+ blokes.

Cheers Snowy ... my brother, at 57 years of age, stepped into unexpected triple bypass surgery back in April, coinciding with all the COVID-19 dramas of the time ... he's pulled through remarkably well, so yeah, heart surgery is a big deal, but thankfully these procedures have been well proven over time.

Actually haven't stopped doing the horizontal tango just yet, so you are over 50 sabre you old dog, whoops I don't know how the''you old'' got in there but it kind of rhymes a bit. hahaha, thanks mate.

Wow your brother must be a tough nut to get through that, & yes the surgeons doing these procedures are great, but it's really confronting to get the news like I did, when it is you it is completely different, it has made me a bit sad to think about it especially as I have no one to talk to about it at this time of my life.

Also I have to move out of where I've been living for the past 31 years because the house has been sold because the landlady is going into an Aged Care Home due to her Dementia getting too hard for her daughter & I to handle, bad timing but that's life we tried & struggled so hard to look after her for the last couple of years but being with her so much eventually breaks you down, her three sons didn't help at all, they wouldn't even take her for a weekend or even one night to give the daughter & I a break from looking after her. So for the past 3 weeks the daughter & I have been going to a lot of homes open to hopefully find somewhere to live.

Trying to find a place is so hard with so many people applying for the same house that we like is so frustrating as there isn't that many houses for rent that are suitable or in the right area due mainly to the Covid Virus, hopefully we will find something before I have the operation.

I am wrong to air my personal health problems with all of you on the forum, but sadly I have no close friends, so many thanks for your support.

Regards Snowy.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery Snowy. Fiona Stanley is only a short bus trip to Ivy’s and Asian Beauties... you may be able to sneak out for a quick bit of post-surgery respite.

Oh No! Not good news.
If it's any consolation my friend had this done recently and was up and about within 24 hours and feeling none the worse for wear. But I'm sure you will still be very nervous, as would I.
Please keep us informed on how you go with this.
1. I want to know you are okay and
2. It may help other members, with the same ailment, feel less alone and frightened in the future.

Had the Angiogram done today at FSH & all went well, good news is that my veins & arteries are good so their is no need for any stents or tissue graphs, just need a replacement valve, so it will be Pre admission to see the Surgeon & Head Nurse '' no pun intended'' haha - on Friday to discuss all of my test results, many thanks to everyone for their support & best wishes.
So The Adventures of Snowy continues, lol.

'Snowy' ... have you spoken with the surgeon about fitting a beefed-up, high-flow, super-responsive replacement valve ? ... I can't help but think that an improved performance blood flow rate might be of significant benefit when you next consult with the esteemed Dr Vanessa, whose renowned skills are in demand across three 'medical centres' in Perth. ;)

Great to hear Snowy. Hopefully the procedure will go swimmingly and you will be back to your best in no time. 😊
