Ladies please have a escape plan and things at hand you can grab to defend yourself. Even if just a tin of fly spray.
I had a middle eastern appearance late 20s. Small built , 5.2 tall, less than 60 kg, beard and had some strength behind him. I tried pushing him out the door. He knock on door similar time I was expecting a client. Red flag behaviour asking was anyone else there.
Once I asked for the money before me move upstairs. He starts saying freebie. I firmly say you need to leave. He refused. I grabbed my phone to call for back up. He grabs my phone out of my hands and pulls a small knife out of his pocket. I backed up while not taking my eyes off him. I grab a big hunting knife and batton. Knowing where I have things and being able to arm myself quickly saved me. I armed myself in seconds, while telling this arsehole in a firm loude voice you need to leave now. I was close enough to unlock back door at the same time. He then tried saying I will pay you PayID. At that point I made it clear I was willing to defend myself if he chose not to leave the premises. I was surprised he threw my phone down and he left closing the door behind him.
Due to my screening process. I suspect random knocking on door or someone else gave him my address.
Stay safe

So sorry to hear this!! Well done for standing your ground and being prepared! Stay safe young lady!

Unfortunate that you have to put up with that sort of stuff from a DH. Lucky you were prepared and didn't panic. Stay safe MM.

Why don't you get one of those door bell cameras that automatically transmit to your telephone?

I am very sorry you had to go through all that, thanks for sharing the incident it'll really help others.

Glad your ok physically hopefully your good mentally as well. You should never have to go through shit like this. Nobody should to be honest.
Stay safe

That's so scary, thanks for the warning and for bringing it back to the fact when we meet someone for the first time to be prepared, no matter how much we screen we can't know what the person is capable of. Thank you for the post and I hope your okay sending lots of love your way!

It’s unfortunate, these scumbags cast a poor light on punters. Most punters have respect for working ladies. Sounds like you were amazing in a very scary & difficult situation. Well done & good on you for sending out the warning.

I too am glad you were not physically harmed. Perhaps past experiences have prepared you well for just such an event. The violation of your space is another matter.

The best person to answer that is Ms Monique. One reason could be that it is illegal for most people to have a baton. Another, as stated, is that sex work is illegal in South Australia, whether you were a corrections officer or not.
I am not a working woman and don't presume to say why one individual working woman might choose to talk to police and another not.

Given that sex work is illegal in South Australia, the police may not be your best option.
That is correct. It would have red-flagged me to the police.
Plus I had weapons and some may fall under prohibited. My mainstream work requires me to have a national police check. Working with vulnerable & working with children police clearance
Our judicial system is flawed. The only occasion I will go report to the police is if children are involved. Many years ago, I had to report a client for child pornography on his laptop. I was willing to give evidence in a trial. Thankfully he pleaded guilty on day one of trial. The prosecution was able to get suppression on my name etc
Laws need to change in SA to protect workers.
