When I go back into the archives, there was a time when so many of the ladies contributed. I think there was a rule that every lady had to contribute 2 posts a night.

I'm not the manager or owner of the joint but don't you think you'll be drumming up business for yourselves by participating? It creates conversation and eventually business.

If you don't help paddle the canoe, it'll go nowhere and probably sink. Just my 2 Euros worth.

I do agree, however there was an influx of forum members who were not very pleasant, always had negative things to say about the industry, the pricing structure etc and its very hard paddling a canoe through a storm... it isn't nice going onto a forum reading negative comments and then trying to do your job be happy and positive and give your best like an opening night principle when you've just read a ton of negative posts.

I think you missed Amelia's point. How will making it compulsory result in a positive experience for the ladies. It's some men behaving badly that stifles the girls participation. Forcing them to cop crap is not the answer. Changing some male behaviours is. If they feel relaxed and respected their level of participation will be higher and more genuine.

Crap can only be ignored to a certain point, it is impossible for it not to affect our mindset. If your on shift working and then jumping on and reading the negative posts about how terrible the Perth industry is and how there is no talent out there, it's almost impossible to then jump into the right mindset for the next client who walks through the door, the best way to ignore it is to not participate, not read into it and not come on. There was a time when this place went really feral. The majority of those people seem to have disappeared now but it was just attack attack attack.

It was very unpleasant for a while. And I did cringe at some of the misogynistic and TBH just intentionally hurtful comments. Men can be dicks sometimes. Let's hope a more enlightened, engaging and happy era is ahead. I love banter, but it has to be fun for all.

Yes all the negativity and down right piggish comments from some members does put a lot of girls off being involved on the forums.

Rugbymermaid has told me the same . Some of the comments towards her looks hurt a lot . If was about the standard of service then fair enough . She's not on here much anymore . Probably won't be again I don't think .

Agree Obbie. Sadly she copped a lot of sh*t from some punters that was totally inappropriate and hurtful. She was and hopefully still is a vivacious and caring lady that deserved much better.

IMO ..Whilst it may be nice for the few LT clients here on TS to have a chat with a few, I get the vibe that the WLs are doing right fine without trying to teach the pigs to sing as well.
I'd agree it makes some men feel 'emotionally attached' to chat with a WL here but I think that if they were more EQ capable they woulda already realised that the WLs have already said what they want to say with their silence here .. after being negatively punished. I empathise.

It is . Jess has started spending more time over east working as she said she gets treated a lot better over there . She's in Melbourne until at least may at the moment . Hopefully we haven't lost her to the east coast permanently ..
