Hello Mrs Langtrees ...

I can't make it to Jewel of the Park tonight, but I will drop by Burswood on Sunday morning around 10:00am to say hello, and take a chance on acquiring some of those automotive - Alpine, Renault, Gordini - books and magazines.

I'm a bit of a car 'tragic' from way back, and I noticed in the background of one of your photos (cropped version attached) that you might be tossing out a white Roller ... I wonder if it is a Silver Shadow, Silver Spur, or maybe, just maybe, a Corniche ...

The roller is Rod's and he has already moved it to his storage shed.

I arrived at 69 Burswood Rd with a degree of my usual tardiness, around about 10:00am.

It was a fine Sunday morning and the 'garage sale' was well patronised, with firm instructions issued that nobody should leave empty-handed. Well, I scrummaged through a variety of car magazines and books which I assumed were items no longer wanted by Rod Slater, of Eurocars fame, long term purveyor of so many French manufactured motor vehicles.

I also ended up carting away a few too many old VHS video tapes, along with a couple of aging F1 motorsport t-shirts ... so, thank you Mrs Langtrees for offering up some interesting treasures last weekend ...
