I feel good today, so I`ve decided to share some of the happiness.

I want to issue a $10 challenge to all the forum members.

It`s very simple, all you have to do is an act of random kindness.

Be nice to someone that you feel wouldn`t expect it.

You don`t necessarily have to give $10, it can be as simple as giving them a packet of Tim Tams or even just offer to carry their bags to their car.

No reward, just share with us what you did and what the reaction was.

Am I the only one to be kind today?

My bit of kindness today was to use my umbrella and escort an older lady to her car, making sure she kept nice and dry...
Received a big thank you and a pleasent smile as she drove away...

Seeing this is a, largely, sex forum billy. What do you mean by the word that you "escorted" her? Ahem!

Funny you ask...

If I wasn`t such a shy guy that`s afraid to ask random questions I probably would have asked for her phone number, that and the fact she was in her sixtys was probably another reason.

Given stranger danger , how do you think a younger lady would have reacted??

I think that the unfortunate thing in today's society is that people often look at you very suspiciously when you offer a random act of kindness. A bit of a 'what do you want' thing. I try to do at least one act of kindness every time I venture out, but do find that I've had to explain my motivations more time than I care to remember. Still, hopefully if everyone did it more often it might once again become a part of everyday life? Pay it forward... is it a real possibility or just a nice fantasy and great movie?

Maybe it`s the big softie in me but that is one of my all time favourite movies..
And has anybody seen the movie? "It could happen to you"

This week I took my driver and his kids to waterbom park as a bit of a thankyou for his help over the last couple of years. He's never been and his kids have wanted to go for years but money is tight for him. Kids had a ball charging down the slides

Shortly before that I reversed a random girls car for her because she was "stuck"... Girl stuck not boy stuck :p

On my last trip in March I was getting out of a taxi at Manila air port. A young girl walked past and dropped all her stuff. Being a nice guy I help her pick up everything.
I lined up to check in and about a hour later finaly got to the check in desk. Guest want same girl working behind he desk. She smiled and said Thankyou once again. I asked for a window seat she said I give you good seat. As I'm walking away I notice she gave me a ticket to the business lounge and the checking my boarding pass she had upgraded me to business class.

Another time the week before I was in Chiang Mai every day I gave this begged guy my loose change. I walked passed him twice a day and he had the happiest face but had nothing. After about a week he called me over. In his bag he had a plastic bag with 2 cold beers in it. I sat down with him and we had a beer. Next week I will be back in Chiang Mai and I'll buy him a rain coat and a meal as its wet season now.
May give him a beer too.

It pays to be nice

Perth Boy, I like you stories. You never know who you are helping, and sometimes it comes back to you.

The reverse can also happen. Someone I know was checking in at an airport a few years ago. The passenger in front of them was giving the check in person a really hard time and being truly rude. But the check in person was being very polite and smiling, and finished with "Have a nice flight".

When my friend checked in he complimented the person on being so nice to the rude passenger. To which the check in person said "He will have a nice flight. He is going to London, but his baggage is going to LA."

Thats bloody funny, Thats the type of thing I would do if the check out person. In life thire is no need to be rude to people.

i know ideally you should never expect anything back but I can't help but think that once, JUST ONCE, I'd like to be on the receiving end for a change.

This has happened a couple of times. I guess I must just look the part

In Bunnings, looking for something, I was approached by another customer asking me "Do you have 'such and such'"? I then proceeded to help them find what they were looking for and even helped carry it to the checkout. I then wandered off on my own mission. I have no idea if the person new that I was not staff, but so what. They were happy, I was happy to have helped.

And here is another one, although I am not sure whether I was doing a good deed, or being snowed.

Last week, at a certain secret establishment, I met a lady. She started off being happy and friendly, etc. We started chatting and her conversation gradually changed from pleasure, to displeasure to something short of anger. Fortunately not over me or because of me, but rather over her previous "visitors" of the day. Apparently, she had had a few "less than ideal" visitors who had not treated her as nicely as they could have.

Now, whether this was factual or not is beside the point. I listened to her complaints and gripes, consoling as an when I could. By the end of the visit, I was almost wiping the tears off of my shoulder. Suffice it to say that my visit was sexless.

That good deed is yet to return.

I always make sure that the heat is on when leave for work in the mornings, that way when all the others in the house wake up they're not freezing cold. Is this random though? Cause I do it every morning in the cooler months :)

Well was gonna help an old lady acros the road when this guy fell out of the sky and landed on his feet. He was buffed and handsome? But wore a very camp blue Lycra body suit and red undies on the out side.

He helped the old lady across the road then, gave a camera perfect smile and said "hello Yoda". Then he looked up and flew away.

I missed out :(

I write this not for accolades or a pat on back but because ... well... here it goes

I often will walk by someone where my 6th sense kicks in. A message ah a damn message... it eats away at me.. so off I go 360 and start to tell them the "message" yes of course at first they look at me as if Im a nutter, then shock, then disbelief then curiosity then they wanna be me best mate...

So today at shopping centre I walked past... 4 times... yes I must be a nutter.. with my hoody on LOL... and my pants baggy at the ass coz I've lost a little weight... So.. you get the picture..

I walk past a lady sitting on a seat, daughter cradled in her arms ( I assume daughter ) and son laying on the seat (assumption son) I felt her energy. I felt pain. I had empathy... I walked from behind on my fourth lap.. The smallest I had in my purse was two fiverrs.. I said youve got cute kids heres maccas for them and I put the money on her lap.. I walked away feeling like a freak I heard her yelling excitedly... unless she was being mugged...

Only when I walked out the glass doors I just gave the 'ten dollar' thingey... so..

Many more adventures I do have like the one about trying to suss out if the person fixing my thumb nail was male or female.. hitting from every angle in conversation I still couldnt work it out.. I tried for the name in the end... but 'ook' doesnt get me really far with my curiosity.

LETS HEAR MORE!! Your stories are uplifting!! :)
