go with Stan, so many better choices than Netflix. I just finished binge-watching Friends last week and now I am back onto rewatching Dexter. Better Call Saul is awesome too

Whos your fav Friends Character?

For a book "The Devil's Sanctuary by Marie Hermanson" is a kinda thriller/psychopath wild ride. And on Netflix I've had "You" recommended to me a heap of times but haven't watched it yet (I'm busy bingeing Stargate on Stan lol) but apparently is amazing.

Oh she said the magic word 😢 Marry me? 😝

Also, if you have Stan, "I Am The Night" is an awesome "based-on-a-true-story" crime series that I absolutely fell in love with (also it has Chris Pine in it and he's pretty easy on the eyes :))

I just finished reading the Psychopath Inside. A good read. Its about a neuroscientist's personal journey into the dark side of the brain. If you enjoy reading books like this, it's very interesting and would recommend. xo

Okay 'CC Grace' ... last night, I pulled 'The Psychopath Inside' (2013) out of the book pile and I'm about one-third the way through what has turned out to be some heavy duty content ... come page 72 and the question is posed "How do genes affect behaviour ? ..."

"There are approximately twenty thousand genes in the human genome. The genes are located in forty-six chromosomes (twenty-three pairs), one set in the pairs derived from the mother, one set from the father, in the nucleus of most cells of the body ..."

...

"... There are about twenty million SNPs (single nucleotide polymorphisms) found in humans, and they account for many differences in the appearance and behaviour of people, from curly hair to obesity to drug addiction. It is these SNPs where the hunt for generic "causes' of traits and diseases has focused since the 1990s."

...

"... The version of the MAOA gene with the short promoter has been associated with aggressive behaviour and is called the 'warrior gene'."

Come page 81, and the author writes this most interesting paragraph :

"The warrior gene's effect is felt mostly by males. That's because it's located on the X chromosome, one of the two so-called sex chromosomes, the other being the Y chromosome. It occurs on about 30 percent of X chromosomes. As anyone who mastered sixth-grade biology knows, females carry the XX sex chromosome combination, while males carry the XY combination. Since a male child inherits only one X chromosome, from his mother, he will definitely suffer if he receives the low-functioning variant, because there is no other gene to counteract it. Females receive one X from their father and one from their mother. After fertilization and early egg cell divisions, one of the X chromosomes in the pairing in a female is inactivated randomly, but for some genes, including MAOA, both remain active ... Therefore women are not as susceptible to the effects of the warrior gene. Since there is a 30 percent incidence of the warrior gene on each X chromosome, the chances of a female having it on both are 30 percent times 30 percent, or 9 percent. This explains, at least in part, why there are more aggressive males in the population than females. And this difference is increased by the presence of testosterone, which affects aggressive behaviour in males more than in females."

And so endeth today's psychopathy lesson 🥴

Yes that's correct, the human brain is so fascinating. That's why you men need us women,we level you out and put you in your place.😜Orbitofrontal cortex(front of the brain) is involved with moral decision-making and ethical behavior. i.e it controls violence, judgement, fear, anger etc. If the Orbritofrontal cortex gets damaged or doesn't work properly people are more likely to be violent as well.

Currently reading Set in Stone by Robert Goddard. I prefer to read a physical copy of a book rather than a digital copy. I either borrow books from a public library or purchase used books from library sales or op shops. But with restrictions in place, it will be difficult to go to public libraries at the moment. This is a place to get good ebooks deal: https://www.bookbub.com/welcome

Watched all 4 series of Money Heist, worth a look if you can stand the dubbing. Clever in a James Bod way

Babylon is a bit different and interesting - a mini series on Netflix.
Been binge watching the 3rd season of Ozark and it is definitely a good option

Is this the book authored by James Fallon ? ... I have it in my collection, yet to read.

I'm not much into fiction, the latest two books I've read this month being the biography "Shirl : The life of legendary larrikin Graeme 'Shirley' Strachan" by Jeff Apter (2012), and the autobiography "In My Skin : a memoir" by Kate Holden (2005).
I will definitely give the book a read , sounds fascinating . 😁
Thanks .

Fargo series 1, 2 & 3 is def worth a binge.
At the very least Series 1 starring Billy Bob Thornton is unmissable ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
