I went a speed date with these guys about 3 years ago and had a great time. I was also lucky enough to meet my current partner there as well as an added bonus.
Tngs may have changed since then, but this was my experience....Usually you book into a night where the criteria suits you (age, lifestyle, etc) and there is usually space for about 16 guys and 16 girls. To begin with there is plenty of time to mingle and socialise, but most of the guys stuck together at on side of the room and the girls did the same. Then the 2 hosts came in and separated the guys from the girls to get given the rules and process for the night. You get a scorecard and a number and you get to sit opposite each girl for 6 minutes and have a chat. After that you can mark on the scorecard if you liked her and if she did the same, the next day he hosts email out all your matches with their contact details. After that you are free to contact them whenever you like. I went on 2 dates before I met my current partner and have been happily with her ever since.
I totally recommend it. Even if you dont meet the person of your dreams, its a fun and interesting night out.

They are great fun,I have been a couple of times,6 min with each person(maybe 10 ppl)and u must have a mutual match to get each other deatails(u both have to like each other )I think is the best way of meeting new ppl,they say it will take a women less than two min to work if they will sleep with a guy ..is there any truth in this??

Ive been to social events. There just filled with atached women going for the free entry and drinks and to get there egos stroked and/or help out thier friend running the event
The men there interested in (rich married with a couple of extra on the side) dont need to attend such events

Your a cynic bushy like me.
Never been to one myself but my neighbor a few years back was a sales bird for an introduction agency. Not escorts, this was one where desperate men paid big bucks to be lined up with a constant stream of 'compatable single women'. Only problem was that almost no women signed up even though it was free for them. Lets face it, who'd want to hook up with a bloke that has to pay to get intros!! So all this birds friends used to get free dinners at fancy restrants just by playing along and saying there clients of the intro agency. At the end of the date they'd say thanks but your not what im looking for.
That was definitely a business to fleece single men.

This was rsvp singles night come around 10the women started leaving many getting picked up by thier partners/husbands
It was very obvious those getting the most attention were older and bald or ethnic men etc... cash cow to get them back next time

I think there is a lack of single women everywhere bushseeker and it only gets more difficult the older you get. I had a friend of mine back in the east join a dating site. He got no messages at all and the site said there was 50 or so single women in his area, so he wondered how many single guys there were so he set himself up a dummy profile pretending he was a nice single lady, and it said there was over 2000 single guys in his area and he got hundreds of messages in just one night!

In Adelaide, single mature guys 45 and over is 2 times greater than women, hence the reason why Adelaide brothel cottage industry does so well, its also the same reason around the country this is why there are so many dateing scam sites, all designed to to scam guys.

For men it can be a struggle. Men simply out number women greatly. That is 1 factor. The other is that women hold the power in this kind of initial contact as it is up to them to respond at all.
I have scored before on dating sites. But not before fruitlessly trying for some time. And when I realized it was not working I set up a female account to see the imbalance of gender ratio and how 1 in a 1000 guys knew what they were doing.
I was fortunate to love creating beauty from words and know how to write a profile. Yet this to me is too much time and effort. I value myself and value my time.
If only men collectively boycotted this sort of service and evened up the odds........

At least u get something if you pay for it. Might not be exactly what u want but u don't walk away with a full sack.
Dating sites, speed dating and introduction agencies pray on guys that dont want to admit they need to pay for it. They still pay and usually get nothing except they become even more cynic & that fucks up there chances with real chicks even more.

Women can definitely afford to be picky when it comes to dating sites. I can guarantee the majority of women are going to ignore a "hey wanna fuk" in favour of someone more articulate, that has actually read their profile, and preferably is decent looking. In retrospect I wonder how many of those single women are dummy profiles made by men to gauge things lol, either way nobody would reply to hundreds of messages, hence the cherry picking.
Considering this country's birth rates you'll find men and women are essentially equal in numbers. Unless there is a colossal polygamy cult going on there's a one to one ratio for partnering up, men just seem more prevalent due to the fact everywhere you turn is a male wanting to get laid.
Kudos to any guy who creates a female profile to check out how the other half lives. It's definitely a good step towards knowing how to set yourself apart from the pack

Hey Steve, yes I usually make a quick decision when it comes to sleeping with a man. Dating is a different scenario as I feel you need to get to know them. But from a purely physical aspect it's pretty easy to know who I am attracted to

I know the stats say the ratio of men to women are roughly equal. But I dispute that.
Last person that told me I was full of crap I got them to jump in the car as we just drove I counted the men he counted the women. ..... well he very soon gave up and just said

My theory is that the numbers are pretty equal, but when I split with my ex she didn't want another relationship but I did so that means there is one more guy out there looking for one and one less woman who's available. So I wonder if this is a bit more common with other failed relationships? don't know just asking?
