I can't remember where I read it but I came across a study of sorts (not sure how accurate this is haha!) but it said that men who prefferred a lady clean-shaven down there changed their preference after having daughters as it looked too much like their child.

Not sure how true this is; anyone like to share their experience?

No it hasn't affected me although I prefer a little hair left by the lady down there.

However, the thought of completely removing my own nether region hair makes me think I would feel like a little boy. So I stick to trimmed.

Not true, in my case. I have two daughters in their early 20s and I can assure you that that scenario you describe NEVER entered my mind and still doesn't when I see my shaved WL. I just love shaved pussy. Personally I can't se the connection, though I guess some may.

Haha....what I mean by 'in context'...is that one daughter is an OT working with elderly (some incontinent) patients and in jest reminds me that when I'm old, senile and incontinent, she ain't wiping my bum, etc. So I remind her and her sister how with my sensitive sense of smell and weak stomach I put myself out for them re nappies and they owe me, all joking of course....okay, I guess it does sound weird but we can jokingly talk about annnything
