Can anyone tell me how to tag a member into a thread?

I'm quite positive you can't on a posted thread but you can send them a link to the thread.
With the conversations thread you can add someone by looking to the right of screen where it says conversation participants and clicking on Invite More.

I ask because I got a notification that I was tagged into someones thread. I have no idea how to do that though.

Ok. After some experimenting to tag someone in a thread you use the @in front of their forum name.
