The night was so dark the man could barely see 5 feet in front of him Dead leaves ,so deep and damp he had to shuffle His trouser damp to mid knee Branches slashed at his face To his left, deeper amid the forest ,footsteps mirrored his own
A glint of steel Then pain lanced his cheek ,he could feel blood running down his cheek , laughter cruel manic laughter issued from deep in the bush
