These days kids have the internet and access to a lot more knowledge then they did back in my day.
So my question is... Who is the better teacher to teach you about the birds and the bees???
Is it mum and dad sitting down and talking to you or with a group of friends where you may feel less shy to ask questions.

Who was it that taught you??

I can remember learning what a period was only because a female cousin had stained my bed and the next day I was ewwwwwwwwwwwwww
DAD! what`s that???:fart:

My parents would never bring the subject up. My siblings & I knew all about the physical
stuff just by looking at life around us on the farm But rams aren't much for sensitivity
and only know one position (Is it sheepy style or doggy?)
Sex ed was only in its infancy at school. When I was 18 nearly 19 The old man'asked "Well! had a naughty yet?" Upon getting no answer it was a trip down to the now defunct
Happy Haven He chose the lady paid up and came back 2hrs later.
Probably could of come back an hour or so earlier But it was an education

The parents because if they have taught you, your more likely to go to them about further questions or any issues. Sex ed at school was really informative too.

Good ol' medical / health books with full nude picture illustrations. Imagine a 12yr old getting an erection from browsing these pics...lol...

Definitely school and friends. My parents would rather have swallowed their tongue before sitting me down and telling me all there is to know.
Again.....very conservative they are.

Any source if information is a great teacher. A child will eventually learn regardless of what happens. However there are ways that are ideal and ways that summon consequences of various degrees of seriousness. An analogy is trying to hold in a dump. You can for a while, it gets worse if you don't let it out. If it is not catered for appropriately there will be consequences as it will come out inevitably. Ideally a toilet is the best. If not one may shit their pants which has consequences according to where they are and who is around them.

So where possible and if th parents are up to it. Answer openly and honestly when a child asks. Explain in correct terms, and show appropriate illustrations to prevent an unhealthy curiosity. I do not mean show them pornos with bukakke and DP that would be a bit off balance lol.

But as I said one has to be very comfortable with ones own sexuality before explaining something that important to a child that will have so much impact on their development.

From memory I think I was eleven and after my father explained what happened I spent the next few days at the library doing the usual kid research. Found a book that had real life pictures of a persons body changes from a youngster through to an oldie... which made me smile in a shy kind of way. :drunken_s Then I made the mistake of showing the book to a school mate and strangely the next time I went for the book it wasn`t there anymore... :dontknow:

I learnt my basic sex knowledge in Sex Ed at school. I think a bad thing about Sex Ed at schools is it takes all the responsibility of it away from the parents, which is who should be teaching their kids. They think oh that's schools responsibility they'll teach em everything....NO! THEY DON'T. Just the other day i was talking about STI'S with my 19yr old mate and she didn't know that most STI'S don't show symptoms, i had to get out my little red book from Scarlett Allians show her.

My sex ed from my parents was only from my dad and he said "Don't wanna know when or if you're having sex, just promise me to use a condom!"

The rest of my sexual knowledge would probably have to have come from the internet and my cousin, who is an ex w/l now. I lived with her for a yr when i was 17 and i learnt more form her then anyone! She was also the person i turned to when i wanted to start in this industry and she gave me a world of knowlege and advice and help.
