The way the sex work market operates, shop runners or mamasans are more inclined to bring in (chinese) talent who have already been in the game for a while. Out of these talent, most if not all don't come from wealthy families, possibly have had a kid or two while they were really young (19-23) or have sick family members to take care of, and SW is their means of making a living, not occupation of passion.
Real young chinese girls who come to study in this country usually come from upper middle class families, and sex work would not be something they typically choose.
