This topic comes to mind after working Melbourne Cup Night in Langtrees VIP Perth, with a new receptionist.
After cashing up which took 2 hours (Thanks Linda for your help) I noticed a Payment had "Declined - Incorrect Pin" - however my trainee at the time didn't pick it up. Yes I was too to blame, as I should have been checking each of her receipts, but to be honest we were pretty flat out. - So the Question I ask - What Win's have you had where you've had either an incorrect Pin or the Machine has malfunctioned?
My 2 Personal examples.
3rd Date with my now Fiance in Albany at a Chinese Restaurant. The meal was nice, and it was around $65. As we were heading back to Perth my partner looked at the receipt and said, "Incorrect Pin" - We didn't pay. So I called the restaurant to see if they could take my details over the phone, being a small family business. The english barrier was a major issue, they assumed I was trying to PLACE an order, not PAY for the order we'd had. - So I gave up. Too Hard basket.
2nd, Time Just recently. I went to the Crowne Plaza Canberra after a 15 hour crazy busy shift with Jaylilly, to drop off an escort and figured I'd shout him breakfast. I thought for a second I wonder if I could get away with a "Company Breakfast" and slap it on the business card, but feared the phone call from the company "accounts nazi" and placed the bill on my own card. I checked my receipt when I got home to place it on the "Top Claim Pile" - and realised it had declined - Communication Error !! - $65 Saved.
