What's with all the reaction symbols lately?

It's always good to receive acknowledgement, maybe even recognition or let's face it - approval unless it's a thumbs down oneđź‘Ž. Even then that is the intention of some people to piss others off.

I can't help but wonder though if anyone actually READS the posts/replies before assigning their reaction. It's almost an automatic gesture I think when you log on - almost everyone who has posted that day gets a reaction symbol and it becomes almost predictable.

I could be wrong but is it a requirement of the staff or something? Just curious, not a criticism.
