Yeah i agree TemptMe. Flick the coin though and there are many doctors that prescribe addictive medication and don't really care.
Get you on something then after 6 mths say i think it's time i cut your medication down.Guess there is 2 ways you can look at it.
Not so sure about the "many doctors" situation but you can't make informed decisions about what you are taking if you don't get further information...Some medications are prescription for a reason, they have side effects some of which are harmful. Agreed that sometimes the advice one might receive may not be suitable to that individual.Ultimately the choice lies with the person as to what they wish to do.
Probably more than you think,.The young girl who overdosed, her mother apparently named ten doctors that she was seeing.
That's if you believe what the media tells us.
And that is the thing media is great at manipulation!!!....I am in the health industry in a minor way and don't see a great deal of it myself. As individuals we still have to take some responsibility for our own health. I see more the other way..quite a bit of Dr shopping - the patient can't get the presciptions they want!!!
Yeah that's right TemptMe, there are always people that doctor shop.
The one's that get away with it and get prescribed s8's make a fortune on the black market. If your not a registered addict a person can get s8's by using false this and false that.
What i find amazing is it can be stopped overnight if all chemists are online. The doctor's have even said that so why don't they do it.?
Surely it can't be that hard to put all chemists online so if x goes to this chemist and does the same thing the next day at a different chemist they get away with it, if they were all online they could see that person got the same drug prescribed yesterday.
They even said M. Jackson had four different identities, one a women. Though still had a private doctor on the pay list at 150k a month.
Certainly makes you wonder why it hasn't been done..PS All i have wrote is from the media..
