If you are thinking of coming to Canberra, it can actually be much cheaper than you expected.
Canberra is serviced by Major Public Transport Routes, as well as the Canberra International Airport.
I will attempt to list below the best options from various locations Inbound to Canberra.
Sydney
Greyhound: Cost, Between $25 - $42
The Greyhound runs 5 times per day and offers a Business Class style service.
The Bus has Wifi and large seats that recline. The trip takes around 3 hours, and departs from
Central Station and The Sydney International Airport. For Bookings and Information see
www.greyhound.com.au ***HOT TIP*** Book the Day Before to get the $25 Tickets.
Murrays Bus: Cost: Between $25 - $45
Murrays offers buses to Canberra Daily On the Hour every hour between 4am and 11pm.
These buses do not offer any wifi or entertainment. The Schedule is great if you need to leave at a certain time
as the buses are very frequent. They do seem to get full very quickly and you'll often need to share a seat with someone.
Keep this in mind when booking.

Rail Service: Cost: $39.54 Regular Service - $55 FIRST CLASS
The rail journey takes longer as it makes quite a few stops. It also drops you off in Kingston which is not as Central
as Jolimont station (with buses)

Flights: Cost: $89 - $800 (Business Class)
Both Qantas and Virgin offer several flights between Sydney and Canberra.
The flight is usually operated on a small turboprop aircraft and takes around 50 minutes.
Light refreshments are usually offered onboard. Once you arrive at Canberra International Airport
You'll be looking at around $30 - $50 for a taxi to Most parts of Canberra. There is a Taxi Rank, and Several Hire Car
Services available at the airport.
Melbourne

The Greyhound has 2 Services per day that leave from Southern Cross Station and arrive in the heart of Canberra CBD. The bus trip is between 8 and 11 hours depending on the stops along the way.
