Hay day is gone...mining boom did lots for the economy but when the boom has slowed to a flop, it went floppy as well...govt needs to innovate and rethink their strategies...put $$ into good use and stop wastage.

Ive seem a few booms over the lasts 30 years or so, any boom over the last ten 12 has seen the vast majority of the benefits go straight to the top end,

Many in this country have gone backwards over the last 10-15 years so far as quality of life, ability to simply earn a living wage, buy a home, simple things

Your not wrong there. The economy is a bit like sex. It started with foreplay, a slow build up to the main event. When it reached the big Orgasm, everyone had a great happy muscle spasm moment. Post orgasm, everyone just wanted to have a rest, regain the energy. Cum back for 2nd round. The mining boom was WA's big Orgasm, now that we're in post Orgasm mode, everything is slow.
