Whats the deal with all these non-sticky threads taking up valuable forum real-estate?
My understanding is that for a thread to be 'sticky' it should be a topic that is being very frequently contributed to or updated. Not just one that's viewed lots of times, or being created by a particular user.
There are a number of so called 'sticky' threads on this forum that are months old, and have had less than 10 comments/contributions. IMO this definitely doesn't constitute as a sticky (or popular).
In a way, its like crying wolf - why have a call to action (such as 'this is a really popular thread') when it's definitely not?
Apologies in advance for any unintended offense I may have caused - but i'm a frequenter of many discussion forums/boards across the interwebs, and this is the only one which abuses the 'sticky' concept.
